Two dimensional views of these complex rhombic crystals can appear quite different as the viewing angle is changed. Encyclopedia of Minerals, Roberts, Rapp & Wilson, 2nd edition, particularly notes augelite as "small crystals associated with lazulite, albite, and quartz at the Smith Mine near Newport ...
